Severe bone and gum loss: Bone graft+ Implant
After
The patient was a 53-year-old man who lost his left upper-central incisor due to a severe localized periodontitis, which caused not only the loss of the tooth, but also a severe atrophy of bone and soft tissues.
An implant placement was conducted, followed by a simultaneous bone regeneration. Eventually, a zirconium-porcelain crown was screwed to the implant, with harmonious and aesthetic contour.

2.- Front view revealing insufficient amount of bone for placing implants, as well as receding gums.
3.- After the bone and gum graft, an Astra Tech Implant with zirconium-porcelain crown was placed. Note the harmony between the restoration and the neighbouring natural teeth.
4.- The x-ray confirms the optimal health condition of the implant.
