Placing an implant with an "optimal position" in a re-absorbed bone crest with simultaneous guided bone regeneration using reabsorbable membrane and autogene bone.

Summary: Guided bone regeneration is the most predictable surgical procedure for the treatment of peri-implantary bone defects. The aim is to show a case in which a total vestibular dehiscence production was treated by placing a unitary implant into a severely reabsorbed crest. The patient is a 47-year-old man, treated periodically to whom an unitary implant is placed in an area of 21, due to the great dehiscence produced and guided bone regeneration with reabsorbable membrane and autogenic bone from the maxillary tuberous. At 6 months complete regeneration of the bone defect and rehabilitation with a ceramic metal crown are observed. The results have shown that surgical re-entry after 6 months revealed total bone regeneration of the treated periimplantary dehiscence and a bone volume of the vestibular cortical more than 2 mm.
