Introduction: The gingival recession is the shift from the marginal gums to an apical position to the amelementary line (1). Although its main etiological factor is bacterial plaque (2.3), gingival recession can also be found in patients with good hygiene. A common etiological factor is the use of uncontrolled and especially vestibular orthodontic movements. That factor is more serious when teeth submitted to these forces have a fine periodontal biotypes or even have alveolar bone dehisciences (4,5,6,7).
