Periodontal regeneration can be performed using proteins derived from the enamel and implementing a microsurgical approach extremely thorough, as shown in this case.

The patient is a 47-year-old man with a bone loss of 9 mm affecting his left lower canine.

Regenerative microsurgery was performed and, after a thorough debridement of the root, Emdogain (enamel matrix derivative) was used in order to achieve full periodontal regeneration.
