Gingival smile
After
17-year-old girl. She has just completed an orthodontic treatment. An excess of gum is detected. It covers partially the crowns of the teeth, making the teeth look square and causing gingival smile.
Crown lengthening surgery is performed, removing the gum excess and re-contouring the excess of underlying alveolar bone, thereby achieving aesthetic and harmonious crowns and eliminating the gingival smile.
