Gingivitis

Gingivitis

Gingivitis is the most common irritation and/or inflammation of the gums, caused by the bacterial plaque flourishing on the small gaps between gums and teeth.

Over the years, a gingivitis condition might, in individuals genetically predisposed, lead to periodontitis, a condition resulting in the loss of bone tissue holding the teeth.

That is why it is vital to diagnose gingivitis early, as it can cause further dental troubles.
